ILIFE
Battery Capacity Degradation
Robot vacuum powers on but shuts off within a few minutes of cleaning
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Lithium battery cells aged, Battery not fully charging due to internal resistance, Battery temperature sensor drift, Frequent partial charges reducing capacity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only compatible ILIFE replacement batteries.
Step-by-step:
- Full charge cycle: Place the robot on the dock and charge uninterrupted for at least 4–5 hours until the indicator shows full.
- Run a full discharge test: Start a cleaning cycle and let the robot run until it stops by itself. Note the runtime.
- Repeat once: Perform one more full charge and discharge cycle to recalibrate the battery gauge.
- Evaluate runtime: If runtime remains very short (e.g., under 20–30 minutes), the battery pack is worn out.
Resolution: Replace the battery pack with a genuine or high‑quality compatible ILIFE battery of the same voltage and capacity.
