ILIFE
Reduced Suction Performance
Robot vacuum runs but suction is very weak compared to normal
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dustbin full, HEPA filter clogged, Air channel partially blocked, Suction motor fan blades dirty
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dustbin.
Step-by-step:
- Empty dustbin completely: Remove all debris and tap the bin to dislodge compacted dust.
- Clean or replace filters: Remove pre‑filter and HEPA filter. Tap gently to remove dust. If washable per manual, rinse and dry fully. Replace if heavily soiled or older than recommended interval.
- Inspect suction inlet: Look into the suction opening and brush channel for clogs. Remove any obstructions.
- Check main brush: Ensure the main brush is clean and spinning freely; a jammed brush reduces effective suction.
- Test on hard floor: Reassemble and run the robot on a hard surface to evaluate suction.
If suction remains weak: The suction motor or internal seals may be worn. Motor replacement or professional service may be needed.
