Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully seated, Dust bin presence switch dirty or stuck, Broken bin latch, Faulty bin sensor on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot before removing the bin.
Steps to resolve:
- Remove and reinstall bin: Press the bin release button, pull the bin out fully, then slide it back in until it clicks. Ensure no debris is blocking the bin rails.
- Inspect bin contacts: On Clean Base models, check the metal contacts on the bin and robot for dust buildup. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Check bin latch and tabs: Make sure the plastic tabs on the bin are not broken and that the latch engages properly.
- Clean bin sensor area: Look inside the bin cavity for a small switch or optical sensor. Blow out dust with compressed air (do not spray liquids inside).
When to replace parts: If Error 14 persists with a known-good bin, the bin presence sensor or main board may be faulty and require replacement.
