Possible Causes
Battery pack deeply discharged, Battery connector loose inside robot, Faulty battery protection PCB, Defective main control board power circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF (if it has a power switch) and remove it from the charging base before opening anything. Do not short battery terminals.
- 1. Hard reset and charge:
- Place the robot firmly on the Kyvol charging dock, making sure the charging pins on the robot align with the dock contacts.
- Verify the dock power adapter is fully inserted into the wall outlet and the dock LED is on.
- Leave the robot on the dock for at least 4–6 hours, even if it appears off. Deeply discharged packs may need extended time.
- 2. Check power switch and contacts:
- Ensure the main power switch (usually on the side or bottom) is in the ON position.
- Wipe the robot’s charging contacts and the dock contacts with a dry cloth to remove oxidation or dust.
- 3. Inspect battery connection (advanced):
- Turn the robot OFF and remove the bottom screws to open the battery compartment (if accessible on your Kyvol model).
- Confirm the battery plug is firmly seated in the main board or battery harness socket.
- Look for signs of swelling, leakage, or burnt smell from the battery pack—if present, discontinue use and replace the battery.
- 4. Try a different outlet/adapter:
- Test the charging dock on another outlet.
- If available, test with a known-good Kyvol power adapter of the same rating.
- 5. When to stop:
- If E1 persists after a full charge and reset, or the robot will not power on at all, the battery protection PCB or main control board may be faulty. Do not attempt to bypass protection circuits; contact a professional or Kyvol support.
