Possible Causes
Aging battery pack with reduced capacity, One or more battery cells out of balance, Battery BMS (protection board) fault, Main board misreading battery voltage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not puncture or short the battery. If the pack is swollen or leaking, handle with extreme care.
- 1. Full charge cycle:
- Place the robot on the dock and charge uninterrupted for at least 5–6 hours.
- 2. Observe runtime:
- Start a cleaning cycle and note how long the robot runs before E18 or shutdown.
- If runtime is very short, the battery is likely worn out.
- 3. Inspect battery (advanced):
- Turn OFF the robot and open the battery compartment.
- Check for swelling, corrosion, or burnt smell.
- 4. Replace battery:
- Install a genuine Kyvol-compatible replacement battery pack with the same voltage and connector type.
- Secure the pack and close the compartment.
- 5. If E18 remains after new battery:
- The main board’s battery sensing circuit may be faulty and require board replacement.
