Possible Causes

Right drive wheel jammed by debris, Damaged right wheel motor, Faulty right wheel encoder, Loose or broken right wheel harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn OFF the robot and place it upside down.

  • 1. Inspect the right wheel:
    • Spin the right drive wheel by hand; it should move smoothly.
    • Remove hair, threads, or debris from the axle and wheel cavity.
  • 2. Check suspension:
    • Press the wheel up and down; it should spring back freely.
  • 3. Reset and test:
    • Power the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle.
    • If it quickly shows E5 or spins in place, the right wheel motor/encoder may be defective.
  • 4. Internal check (advanced):
    • Remove the bottom cover and locate the right wheel module.
    • Verify the wiring harness is fully seated on the main board and not pinched or damaged.
  • 5. Replace if needed:
    • Install a new right wheel motor assembly if the wheel is noisy, seized, or unresponsive.
