Robot vacuum frequently reports that it is near a cliff or refuses to clean dark carpets, even on flat floors.

Safety: Do not cover cliff sensors permanently; this can cause falls.

• 1. Clean sensors:
  • Wipe all downward-facing cliff sensor windows with a dry microfiber cloth.
• 2. Test on light floor:
  • Move the robot to a light-colored hard floor and run a cleaning cycle.
• 3. Adjust environment:
  • Avoid using the robot on very dark or glossy black carpets if it consistently misreads them as cliffs.
• 4. Firmware update:
  • Check the Kyvol app for firmware updates that may improve sensor calibration.
• 5. Hardware service:
  • If false cliff detection occurs on all surfaces, the cliff sensor module may need replacement.
