Possible Causes

Debris in fan housing, Worn fan bearings, Main brush bearings dry or damaged, Drive wheel gearbox worn

Safety: Turn off and flip the robot over.

Isolate noise source: Run the robot briefly while upside down (carefully holding it) to identify whether noise comes from brush, wheels, or fan.
Service brushes: Remove and clean the main and side brushes, including end caps and bearings.
Check wheels: Spin drive wheels by hand; grinding or clicking suggests gearbox wear.
Fan noise: If noise is from inside the body and changes with suction level, the fan motor bearings may be worn and the fan assembly should be replaced.
