Possible Causes
Dust in wheel shafts, Dry plastic-on-plastic contact, Slightly misaligned wheel module, Worn bushings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off and flip the robot over.
- Clean wheel area: Use a soft brush to remove dust from around the drive wheels and front caster.
- Check caster wheel: Pop out the front caster wheel (if removable), clean the axle and socket, and reinstall.
- Avoid oil: Do not use oil-based lubricants; if necessary, a tiny amount of dry PTFE lubricant can be applied to the caster axle only, avoiding sensors and belts.
- If squeak persists from drive wheels: The wheel modules may need replacement.
