Possible Causes
Severely clogged filters causing fan overload, Main brush or side brush heavily jammed, Short circuit in motor wiring, Defective power MOSFET on mainboard
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock. Do not repeatedly restart if you smell burning.
- Step 1 – Clean all brushes: Remove and thoroughly clean the main brush and side brush(es), clearing all hair and debris.
- Step 2 – Clean or replace filters: Remove the dustbin filters, tap out dust, and replace if heavily soiled or older than the recommended interval.
- Step 3 – Inspect for shorts: Look for exposed wires near the brush motors or fan motor. Do not operate the robot if wiring insulation is damaged.
- Step 4 – Test components individually (if supported): Some Lefant models allow testing of brushes and suction separately via the app or service menu. Run each to identify which motor triggers E13.
- Service: If E13 persists after cleaning and inspection, a motor or the mainboard power stage is likely faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
