Possible Causes
Dustbin not seated correctly, Dustbin full or filter completely clogged, Suction fan motor failure, Blocked air duct between dustbin and fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock before opening the dustbin.
- Step 1 – Remove and empty dustbin: Press the dustbin release and pull out the bin. Empty all debris into a trash can.
- Step 2 – Clean filters: Remove the primary filter and HEPA filter (if equipped). Tap them gently against the trash can to remove dust. If washable, rinse with water only and allow to dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Step 3 – Inspect air path: Look into the dustbin outlet and the suction inlet on the robot body. Remove any clogs (dust clumps, paper, pet hair) using a small brush or tweezers.
- Step 4 – Reseat dustbin: Reinstall the dry filters and slide the dustbin firmly back into place until it clicks. A misaligned bin can trigger E5.
- Step 5 – Test suction: Turn the robot ON and start cleaning. Place your hand near the exhaust to feel for airflow. If there is no airflow or a loud humming noise, the fan motor may be defective.
- Service needed: If cleaning and reseating do not clear E5, the suction fan motor or its wiring harness likely needs replacement.
