Main brush belt or gear broken (if belt-driven), Main brush motor connector loose, Worn main brush end coupling, Mainboard output to brush motor partially failed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock before working on the brush.
- Step 1 – Remove brush and inspect ends: Check the square or hex coupling at the end of the brush for rounding or damage. Replace the brush if worn.
- Step 2 – Inspect drive socket: Look into the drive side of the brush housing. Ensure the drive socket is intact and not cracked.
- Step 3 – Check motor connection: If accessible, open the bottom cover and verify the main brush motor connector is firmly plugged into the mainboard.
- Step 4 – Test motor: With the robot ON and cleaning, observe whether the motor shaft spins without the brush installed. If not, the motor or driver circuit is faulty and the motor assembly should be replaced.
