Possible Causes
Side brush motor partially failed, Side brush gear stripped, Side brush not properly attached, Side brush driver transistor weak on mainboard
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot before handling the side brush.
- Step 1 – Check attachment: Ensure the side brush is firmly pressed onto the shaft and the retaining screw (if present) is tight.
- Step 2 – Inspect brush hub: Remove the brush and check for a cracked or stripped hub. Replace the brush if damaged.
- Step 3 – Clean shaft: Remove hair and debris from the motor shaft area.
- Step 4 – Test motor: With the robot ON and cleaning, carefully observe whether the shaft turns without the brush installed. If it does not move, the motor or driver is faulty and the side brush motor module or mainboard may need replacement.
