Possible Causes
Obstructed or dirty top camera lens, Strong direct sunlight saturating sensor, Loose camera ribbon cable, Failed camera module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot before cleaning the camera lens.
- 1. Clean camera lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the top camera lens. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- 2. Avoid harsh lighting: Test the robot in normal indoor lighting, away from direct sunlight or very bright spotlights that can interfere with the camera.
- 3. Reboot and remap: Restart the robot and, using the LG app, delete the existing map if corrupted. Start a new full cleaning run to allow the robot to rebuild its map.
- 4. Firmware update: Check for and install any firmware updates via the app, then test again.
- If the camera error persists, the camera module or its ribbon cable may be damaged and should be inspected and replaced by a technician.
