Possible Causes
Interrupted firmware update, Corrupted system memory, Failing main control MCU, Power instability from defective regulators
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the robot has adequate battery charge before attempting updates or resets.
- 1. Hard reset: Hold the power button for 10–20 seconds until the robot fully powers off. Wait 30 seconds, then power it back on.
- 2. Factory reset: Use the LG app or onboard menu to perform a factory reset. This will erase maps and settings but can clear software faults.
- 3. Reinstall firmware: Connect the robot to Wi‑Fi and check for firmware updates. If an update is available, install it and do not interrupt power during the process.
- 4. Test on dock power: Place the robot on the dock and see if it remains stable while powered externally. If it only crashes on battery, the battery may be unstable.
- If repeated resets and firmware updates do not resolve the error, the main PCB is likely defective and should be replaced by a service center.
