Possible Causes
Dirty or damaged encoder disk, Loose encoder sensor on wheel module, Broken encoder wiring, Failed encoder sensor IC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot and work on a soft surface to avoid scratching the top cover.
- 1. Clean wheel area: Remove debris around the right wheel and suspension. Check for hair or fibers wrapped around the axle.
- 2. Compare wheel behavior: Spin both wheels by hand. If the right wheel feels rough or inconsistent, the module may be failing.
- 3. Advanced inspection: Remove the bottom cover and inspect the right wheel encoder disk and sensor. Clean with compressed air and ensure the disk is not cracked or loose.
- 4. Check connector: Verify the right wheel module connector is fully seated on the main PCB.
- If the error remains, replace the right wheel module to restore proper encoder feedback.
