Possible Causes
Faulty gyroscope sensor on mainboard, Loose mainboard mounting screws, Firmware corruption, Strong magnetic interference near robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from any magnetic or electronic interference sources (large speakers, Wi‑Fi routers placed directly under it, etc.).
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn the main power switch OFF for 1–2 minutes, then back ON. Place the robot on a flat, level surface and start a cleaning cycle.
- Step 2 – Level surface calibration: Ensure the robot is on a firm, level floor when starting. Avoid thick rugs or uneven tiles during initial startup.
- Step 3 – Check for impacts: If the robot was recently dropped, inspect the housing for cracks. Remove the top cover and verify the mainboard is firmly screwed down and not loose.
- Step 4 – Firmware update (if supported): Using the Medion app or PC tool (if available for your model), check for firmware updates and apply them following Medion’s instructions.
- Step 5 – Replace mainboard: If E6 persists and wiring is intact, the gyroscope chip on the mainboard is likely defective. Replace the Medion main control board.
