Possible Causes

Dirty dock IR beacon window, Dock placed in a corner or cluttered area, Faulty dock detection sensor on robot, Weak Wi‑Fi or mapping issues (for smart models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep the area around the dock clear to avoid tripping hazards.

  • Step 1 – Reposition dock: Place the Medion charging base against a straight wall with at least 0.5 m free space on each side and 1.5 m in front.
  • Step 2 – Clean dock and robot sensors: Wipe the IR windows on the dock and the front of the robot with a soft cloth.
  • Step 3 – Test homing: Start the robot near the dock and press the home/return button. Observe if it detects and approaches the dock.
  • Step 4 – Check dock power: Ensure the dock’s LED is on and the adapter is working.
  • Step 5 – Replace dock or sensor: If the robot consistently fails to see the dock, replace the Medion charging base or the robot’s dock detection sensor board as needed.
