Possible Causes
Faulty wheel encoder on one drive wheel, Gyroscope drift, Debris affecting wheel rotation, Mainboard navigation logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before inspecting wheels.
- Step 1 – Clean wheels: Remove hair and debris from both drive wheels and ensure they rotate freely.
- Step 2 – Level surface test: Run the robot on a flat, open area and observe its pattern. If it still loops, one wheel may be underpowered.
- Step 3 – Swap wheel modules (advanced): If possible, swap left and right Medion wheel modules to see if the behavior changes sides. This helps identify a bad wheel encoder.
- Step 4 – Replace faulty wheel module: Replace the drive wheel module that causes looping.
- Step 5 – Mainboard replacement: If both wheels are good, the gyro or navigation IC on the mainboard may be faulty and require board replacement.
