Miele
Restricted Airflow / Clogged Filters
Robot vacuum runs but has very weak suction; it picks up little debris even on hard floors.

Possible Causes
Clogged pre-motor filter, Blocked suction inlet, Dust bin overfilled, Partially blocked air duct
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock before cleaning filters or the bin.
Steps:
- 1. Empty dust bin: Remove and empty the bin completely. Tap it gently to dislodge fine dust.
- 2. Clean or replace filters: Remove the pre-motor and exhaust filters. Tap them gently outdoors to remove dust. Replace them if they are heavily soiled or per Miele’s recommended interval.
- 3. Check suction path: Inspect the inlet at the brush housing and any internal ducts for blockages. Remove any debris with a small brush or tweezers.
- 4. Inspect brush roll: Ensure the main brush is clean and rotating freely; a jammed brush reduces pickup.
When to call a technician: If suction remains weak with clean filters and clear ducts, the suction motor or fan may be worn or damaged and should be inspected by a technician.
