Possible Causes
Dust on LDS window, LDS turret stuck or blocked, Internal LDS motor failure, LDS cable connection issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and keep it on a stable surface.
- Locate LDS turret: On mapping-capable Neabot models, the LDS is usually a raised circular turret on top of the robot.
- Clean LDS window: Wipe the transparent window or ring on the turret with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
- Check turret rotation: Gently try to rotate the turret. It should move freely with slight resistance. If it feels stuck, inspect for foreign objects wedged around the base.
- Power-on test: Turn the robot on and listen for a faint spinning sound from the LDS. If there is no sound and E10 persists, the LDS motor or sensor may have failed.
- Service or replace: LDS modules are delicate; if cleaning and freeing the turret do not resolve the error, the LDS assembly or mainboard should be replaced by a qualified technician.
Warning: Do not open the LDS module or look directly into the laser; although low power, direct exposure is not recommended.
