Possible Causes
Main roller brush jammed with hair or debris, Main brush bearings seized, Main brush motor failing, Main brush gear train obstructed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the power switch on the OKP robot vacuum to OFF and remove it from the charging dock. Do not work on the brush while the robot is powered.
- Step 1 – Flip the robot over: Place the robot upside down on a soft surface. Locate the main roller brush compartment in the center underside.
- Step 2 – Remove the main brush cover: Release the locking tabs and lift off the brush guard. Carefully pull out the main roller brush.
- Step 3 – Clear obstructions: Use scissors or a seam ripper to cut away hair, threads, and pet fur wrapped around the brush and the brush end caps. Spin the end caps with your fingers; they should rotate freely.
- Step 4 – Inspect brush cavity: Check the brush housing and gear area for lodged debris (small toys, gravel, etc.). Remove anything blocking the brush or gears.
- Step 5 – Check brush motor movement: With the brush removed, gently rotate the motor drive shaft with your fingers. It should turn smoothly without grinding. If it is stiff or does not move, the motor may be failing.
- Step 6 – Reassemble: Reinstall the cleaned brush, ensuring the keyed ends are fully seated. Refit the brush cover and lock it.
- Step 7 – Reset and test: Turn the power switch ON, place the robot on the floor, and start a cleaning cycle. If E1 persists after cleaning, the main brush motor assembly likely needs replacement and professional service is recommended.
