Possible Causes
Mop water tank not fully inserted, Mop detection switch dirty or stuck, Electrical contacts between tank and robot corroded, Mopping module internal fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the water tank. Do not work on the robot while water is leaking.
- Step 1 – Inspect tank: Check that the tank is not cracked and that its latch is intact.
- Step 2 – Clean contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on both the tank and the robot with a dry cloth. Ensure they are dry and free of corrosion.
- Step 3 – Check detection switch: Look for a small plunger or switch where the tank slides in. Press it gently to ensure it moves freely.
- Step 4 – Reinstall tank: Slide the tank in firmly until it clicks. Avoid forcing it at an angle.
- Step 5 – Test mopping mode: Turn ON the robot and start a mopping cycle. If E12 recurs, the mopping module or detection circuit may need replacement.
