Possible Causes
Shorted battery pack, Damaged charging contacts, Faulty dock power adapter, Main board charging IC failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock before touching contacts. If you smell burning or see melted plastic, stop using the robot and contact a professional.
- Step 1 – Inspect contacts: Check robot and dock contacts for burn marks or deformation. Clean light oxidation with a dry cloth.
- Step 2 – Test adapter: Verify the dock's power adapter outputs the rated voltage using a multimeter, or test with a known-good OKP adapter if available.
- Step 3 – Try hard reset: Turn OFF the robot for 1 minute, then ON, and place it on the dock.
- Step 4 – Observe charging indicator: If the charging light flashes error or stays off, and E17 appears, the battery or main board charging circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
