Charging Contact / Docking Sensor Error
Robot vacuum shows E7 and cannot find or leave the charging dock properly

Possible Causes
Charging contacts dirty or oxidized, Dock IR locator sensor blocked, Dock power adapter not supplying correct voltage, Charging contact spring stuck
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charging dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.
- Step 1 – Clean robot contacts: On the rear or underside of the robot, locate the metal charging pads. Wipe them with a dry cloth. If corroded, gently rub with a pencil eraser and wipe clean.
- Step 2 – Clean dock contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on the dock with a dry cloth. Ensure they are not bent or recessed.
- Step 3 – Check dock power: Plug the dock back in and verify the dock indicator light is on. Confirm the power adapter is the original OKP unit.
- Step 4 – Clear around dock: Remove obstacles within 1 meter on each side and 2 meters in front of the dock so the robot can approach straight.
- Step 5 – Test docking: Place the robot 0.5–1 m in front of the dock and press the Home/Recharge button. If it still fails and shows E7, the charging contact assembly or IR docking sensor may be faulty.
