Robot vacuum runs but has very weak suction and leaves debris behind

Possible Causes

Dust bin overfilled, HEPA filter clogged, Suction inlet partially blocked, Air duct packed with fine dust

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the dust bin.

  • Step 1 – Empty bin completely: Open and tap the bin to remove compacted dirt.
  • Step 2 – Clean or replace filters: Remove the pre-filter and HEPA filter. Tap out dust; if heavily soiled or older than recommended, replace with genuine OKP filters.
  • Step 3 – Inspect suction inlet: Shine a light into the suction opening on the robot and the outlet on the bin. Remove any lodged debris.
  • Step 4 – Check for air leaks: Ensure the bin seats firmly and the rubber seals are intact.
  • Step 5 – Test suction: Power ON and feel for airflow at the exhaust. If still weak, the suction motor may be worn and require replacement.
