Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully inserted, Broken dust bin latch, Faulty bin presence microswitch, Damaged bin sensor magnet or flag
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before removing or inserting the dust bin.
- Remove and reinsert bin: Take out the dust bin completely, then slide it back in firmly until it clicks. Ensure the lid is closed properly.
- Inspect bin latch: Check for cracks or deformation in the bin latch that might prevent full engagement.
- Check bin sensor area: Look inside the bin compartment for a small switch or sensor tab. Make sure there is no dust buildup or foreign object blocking it.
- Clean contacts: If your Philips model uses electrical contacts on the bin (for a motorized brush or sensor), wipe them with a dry cloth.
- Test again: Turn the robot ON and see if the E10 error clears.
- Persistent E10: If the robot still does not detect the bin, the bin presence switch or sensor on the main board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
