Possible Causes

No power to charging dock, Dirty or oxidized charging contacts, Faulty dock power adapter, Failed charging circuit on robot main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charging dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.

  • Check outlet and adapter: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm power. Inspect the Philips dock power adapter and cable for damage.
  • Verify dock LED: Plug the dock back in and confirm that its indicator light is on (if equipped). If not, the adapter or dock may be faulty.
  • Clean charging contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on both the dock and the robot with a dry cloth. For stubborn oxidation, use a cotton swab lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol and let dry.
  • Align robot on dock: Place the robot on the dock manually, ensuring the contacts align properly. Look for the charging icon on the robot or in the app.
  • Try another outlet: Move the dock to a different wall socket to rule out wiring issues.
  • Persistent E13: If the robot still will not charge, the dock, power adapter, or the robot's internal charging circuit may be defective. Test with a known-good Philips dock if possible; otherwise, seek service.
