Possible Causes
Weak Wi-Fi signal, Incorrect Wi-Fi credentials, Faulty Wi-Fi module on PCB, Firmware corruption
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a connectivity issue; no internal disassembly is required.
- Check router: Ensure your Wi-Fi router is powered on and functioning. Confirm that the 2.4 GHz band is enabled, as many Philips robots do not support 5 GHz only networks.
- Move closer: Place the charging dock and robot closer to the router to improve signal strength.
- Reset Wi-Fi on robot: Follow the user manual to reset the Wi-Fi settings on the robot (usually by holding a specific button combination until a Wi-Fi reset tone or message is heard).
- Re-add in app: Open the Philips app, remove the existing robot entry if needed, and go through the pairing process again with correct network credentials.
- Firmware update: If connection is briefly established, check for firmware updates and install them.
- Persistent E18: If the robot cannot connect to any network and E18 remains, the Wi-Fi module or main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
