Possible Causes
Broken main brush belt (if used), Stripped gears in brush gearbox, Faulty main brush motor, Disconnected motor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and place it upside down.
- Remove main brush: Open the brush cover and take out the main brush. Check for broken end caps or missing drive tabs.
- Inspect drive coupling: Look into the brush housing for the drive socket or belt. If a belt is present and broken or off the pulley, it must be replaced.
- Spin motor shaft: Gently rotate the motor drive socket (if accessible). It should turn with some resistance.
- Test without brush: With the brush removed, run the robot briefly and see if the motor shaft turns. If not, the motor or driver is faulty.
- Replace components: Replace the main brush, belt, or motor assembly as needed. Motor replacement is best done by a service technician.
