Possible Causes
Dirty or oxidized charging contacts, Dock power adapter failure, Misaligned robot on dock, Faulty charging board inside robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.
Step-by-step:
- Clean contacts: Wipe the metal charging pads on the robot and the dock with a dry cloth. For stubborn oxidation, lightly rub with a pencil eraser, then wipe clean.
- Verify dock power: Plug the dock back in and confirm any indicator light is on. Test the outlet with another device if unsure.
- Align robot correctly: Place the robot on the dock manually, ensuring the contacts touch. The robot should beep and show charging status in the app.
- Check cable routing: Ensure the dock is on a flat surface with 0.5–1 m of clear space on each side so the robot can align itself.
If the robot still will not charge: The dock or the robot’s internal charging PCB may be defective. Try another compatible dock if available, or contact service for board replacement.
