How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot and turn it upside down.
Step-by-step:
- Remove side brush: Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw holding the side brush. Lift the brush off the shaft.
- Clean shaft and brush: Remove hair and fibers from the shaft and underside of the brush. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Inspect gearbox area: Check around the side brush motor hub for debris. Use tweezers or a brush to clear any obstruction.
- Reinstall or replace brush: If the side brush is bent or heavily worn, replace it with a genuine Roborock side brush. Reattach with the screw, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened.
- Test operation: Power on the robot and start a spot clean. Observe whether the side brush spins freely.
If the error persists: The side brush motor or gearbox may be damaged and require replacement.
