Possible Causes
Left drive motor failure, Right drive motor failure, Motor driver circuit fault on main PCB, Jammed wheel or axle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot and remove it from the dock before inspection.
- Inspect wheels for jams: Turn the robot upside down on a soft surface. Rotate both side drive wheels by hand. Remove hair, threads, or debris wrapped around the wheel axles or stuck in the wheel wells.
- Check wheel suspension: Press each wheel up and down. It should move freely and spring back. If a wheel is stuck in the up or down position, clean around the suspension and gently free it.
- Restart and test: Power the robot back on and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether both wheels turn. If one side remains stationary, the corresponding drive motor or driver circuit may be faulty.
- Advanced check (technician level): With the battery disconnected, open the bottom cover and inspect the drive motor connectors to the main PCB. Reseat any loose plugs. If the error persists, the motor assembly or main PCB likely needs replacement.
