Possible Causes

Dirty front IR obstacle sensors, Dirty or blocked wall sensors, Faulty front sensor board, Strong reflective surfaces confusing sensors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn the robot OFF.

  • Clean front sensors: Wipe the front-facing IR sensor windows and wall-follow sensors with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
  • Check for damage: Inspect the clear plastic lens area for cracks or heavy scratches that could distort readings.
  • Reduce reflections: If possible, move highly reflective objects (mirrors, chrome furniture) away from the robot's path during testing.
  • Reboot and test: Power the robot back on and run a short cleaning cycle.

Persistent E6 after cleaning suggests a failing front sensor board that may require replacement.
