Mobility / Obstacle Handling Issue
Robot vacuum gets stuck frequently on thresholds, rugs, or cords
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn drive wheels, Weak drive motors, Low battery voltage under load, Loose or damaged front caster
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF and flip the robot over.
- Inspect wheels: Check drive wheel treads for wear and damage. Ensure wheels spring up and down freely.
- Check caster: Ensure the front caster spins freely and is not loose or jammed.
- Environment adjustments: Use cable organizers to lift cords off the floor and consider removing or taping down loose rug edges.
If the robot still lacks climbing ability on normal thresholds, the drive wheel assemblies or battery may need replacement.
