Robot vacuum squeaks or chirps when moving
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dust and hair in wheel axles, Dry caster bearing, Worn wheel bushings, Misaligned wheel assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF and invert the robot.
- Clean wheels: Remove hair and debris from drive wheels and their axles.
- Service caster: Remove the front caster, clean the axle and socket, and reinstall. Do not use oil unless specified by Shark; most parts are designed to run dry.
- Test movement: Spin wheels and caster by hand to confirm smooth, quiet operation.
If squeaking persists and comes from inside a wheel, replace the affected wheel assembly.
