Possible Causes
Blocked LiDAR window, Stuck LiDAR turret motor, Failed LiDAR laser module, Disconnected LiDAR ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and do not look directly into any laser aperture.
- 1. Clean LiDAR window: On SilverCrest models with a raised turret, gently wipe the transparent cover with a microfiber cloth.
- 2. Check turret rotation: Power on the robot and start mapping/cleaning. Watch the turret from above; it should rotate smoothly. If it does not move or makes grinding noises, debris may be inside.
- 3. Tap gently: With the robot off, gently tap the side of the turret to dislodge minor dust. Do not use force.
- 4. Inspect cable (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the LiDAR module. Check that the LiDAR power and data cables are firmly connected to the main PCB.
- 5. Replace LiDAR module: If E13 persists and the turret does not spin or mapping fails, replace the complete SilverCrest LiDAR sensor module.
