Possible Causes
Dock placed in a tight corner, Reflective surfaces confusing sensors, Dirty dock IR window, Weak dock power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock before moving it.
Optimize dock placement:
- Place the dock against a straight wall with the clearance recommended in the Tesvor manual (typically 0.5 m on each side and 1.5 m in front).
- Avoid placing the dock near mirrors, glass doors, or under furniture.
Clean and check:
- Wipe the dock's front IR window and the robot's front sensors with a dry cloth.
- Ensure the dock's indicator light is on and the power adapter is functioning.
Test:
- Command the robot to return to dock and observe its approach.
If docking still fails: The dock's IR beacon or the robot's docking sensor may be faulty. Try a replacement dock; if the issue persists, the robot's front IR sensor board may need replacement.
