Possible Causes

Internal IMU (inertial measurement unit) miscalibrated, Robot started on uneven or soft surface, IMU connector loose, IMU sensor failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the robot is powered ON but not cleaning. Keep it away from stairs.

  • 1. Place on a hard, level surface: Put the robot on a flat floor (no carpet ridges or slopes).
  • 2. Perform calibration (if supported): Open the Trifo app, go to Settings > Maintenance or Device Settings, and look for a Sensor Calibration or Gyro Calibration option. Follow the on-screen instructions without moving the robot.
  • 3. Power cycle: Turn the robot OFF using the power switch (or long-press the power button), wait 30 seconds, then power it ON again and retry calibration.
  • 4. Avoid moving during startup: Do not pick up or rotate the robot while it is booting; this can corrupt IMU readings.
  • 5. Internal check (advanced): If E6 persists, open the robot and verify that the IMU board (often a small daughterboard on the main PCB) is firmly seated and its connector is secure.

Warning: IMU replacement requires soldering or delicate connector handling on some models. If you are not experienced with electronics, seek professional service.
