Possible Causes
Debris jammed in right drive wheel, Damaged right wheel motor, Faulty right wheel encoder, Loose wiring to right wheel module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock.
- Inspect the right wheel: Flip the robot over and manually spin the right wheel. Remove hair, carpet fibers, or strings wrapped around the axle or trapped in the wheel cavity.
- Clean suspension area: Press the wheel up and down to ensure it moves freely. Use compressed air or a soft brush to clear dust from the suspension and encoder area.
- Check floor surface: Ensure the robot is not starting on thick rugs or thresholds that can block the wheel from turning.
- Test again: Power the robot back ON, place it on a hard, flat surface, and start a cleaning cycle.
- If E2 returns: The right wheel motor or encoder may have failed. Replacing the right wheel motor module is typically required. This involves removing the bottom cover and unplugging the wheel harness from the main PCB. Seek professional service if unsure.
