Possible Causes
Dirty or bent charging contacts, Faulty charging dock, Damaged power adapter, Charging circuit failure on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock from the wall before cleaning contacts.
- Clean contacts: Wipe the metal charging pads on the robot and the dock with a dry microfiber cloth. For oxidation, lightly rub with a pencil eraser and wipe clean.
- Check alignment: Ensure the dock is against a wall on a hard floor with enough clearance on both sides. Manually place the robot on the dock and confirm the contacts touch firmly.
- Verify power: Confirm the dock's indicator light is on. Test the power adapter in another outlet.
- Reset system: Power OFF the robot for 30 seconds, then ON, and place it on the dock to see if charging begins.
- If E9 continues: Either the charging dock or the robot's charging PCB / main board may be defective. Try another Ultenic dock if available. Otherwise, seek service for board-level diagnosis.
