Possible Causes
Hair or string wrapped around side brush hub, Side brush motor jammed, Side brush motor wiring loose, Damaged side brush assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF with the power switch (if present) and remove it from the charging dock. Do not work on the robot while it is charging.
- Inspect the side brush: Flip the robot over. Gently pull off the side brush from its shaft. Remove any hair, string, or debris wrapped around the hub and the shaft.
- Clean the side brush motor area: Use tweezers or a small brush to clear debris from the opening where the side brush shaft enters the robot. Make sure the shaft spins freely by hand.
- Check for damage: Inspect the side brush arms for warping or cracks. If the brush is bent or very loose, replace it with a genuine Wyze side brush.
- Reinstall and test: Push the side brush firmly back onto the shaft until it clicks. Place the robot on a flat surface, power it on, and start a cleaning cycle to see if the error clears.
- If the error persists: The side brush motor or its wiring may be faulty. Disassembly requires removing the bottom cover (small Phillips screws) to access the side brush motor module. If you are not comfortable opening the robot, contact Wyze support or a professional technician.
