Possible Causes
Debris wrapped around front caster axle, Caster wheel seized in bracket, Dirt on front optical navigation window (if present), Misaligned caster assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot and remove it from the dock.
- Inspect front caster: Turn the robot over and locate the small front wheel. Spin it with your fingers; it should rotate freely and swivel 360°.
- Remove and clean caster: On most Wyze models, the caster wheel assembly pulls straight out. Remove it, then clear hair and debris from the axle and socket. Clean the wheel with a dry cloth.
- Reinstall caster: Push the caster assembly back into its socket until it clicks and spins freely.
- Clean front sensors: If your model has a front-facing optical sensor or LiDAR window, wipe it gently with a microfiber cloth to remove dust.
- Test operation: Place the robot on a flat surface and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether it moves smoothly.
- If C10 persists: The caster sensor (if equipped) or navigation system may be faulty. Further repair requires internal access and should be handled by a technician.
