Possible Causes

Robot picked up and moved during cleaning, Major changes in room layout, Dirty LiDAR or camera window (if camera-based), Corrupted map data

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No electrical risk, but avoid opening the robot for this issue.

  • Do not move robot while cleaning: Always let the robot return to the dock on its own. If you must move it, place it back near where it was picked up.
  • Clean navigation sensors: Wipe the LiDAR turret window or front camera window (depending on model) with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Reset or rebuild map: In the Wyze app, delete the existing map if it is corrupted and start a new mapping run with doors open and obstacles minimized.
  • Improve lighting: For camera-based navigation, ensure rooms are adequately lit during mapping and cleaning.
  • If C17 persists: The navigation sensor (LiDAR or camera) or main board may be faulty. Contact Wyze support for advanced diagnostics.
