Possible Causes
Main brush motor failure, Broken brush drive coupling, Disconnected brush motor cable, Side brush motor failure (if side brush also not spinning)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and flip it over before touching the brushes.
- Check for jams: Remove the main brush and side brush. Clear all hair and debris from the brush ends and motor drive slots.
- Inspect brush ends: Ensure the square or keyed ends of the brush are not stripped or broken.
- Reinstall and test: Refit the brushes and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether they spin.
- If brushes still do not spin: The brush motor or its drive coupling may be broken, or the motor cable may be disconnected. Accessing and replacing the brush motor requires removing the bottom cover and internal panels and is best done by a technician.
