How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock from the wall before cleaning contacts. Do not use wet cloths on powered contacts.
- 1. Check power to dock:
- Ensure the power adapter is firmly plugged into the dock and wall outlet.
- Verify the dock indicator light (if present) is on.
- 2. Clean charging contacts:
- On the robot and dock, gently clean the metal charging pads with a dry cloth.
- For stubborn oxidation, lightly rub with a pencil eraser, then wipe clean.
- 3. Check alignment:
- Place the dock against a wall on a flat surface.
- Manually dock the robot and ensure the contacts touch evenly.
- 4. Inspect robot contacts:
- Check that the spring-loaded contacts on the robot move freely.
- If a contact is stuck or broken, the contact module may need replacement.
- 5. Test with another outlet or adapter:
- If possible, test the dock with a known-good Xiaomi power adapter.
- 6. If still not charging:
- The dock PCB or robot mainboard charging circuit may be faulty; replace the dock or mainboard as needed.
