Possible Causes

Airflow blocked by clogged filters, Robot operating in very hot environment, Fan motor overheating, Main board heat sink obstructed by dust

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and let it cool.

  • 1. Allow cooling time: Leave the robot powered OFF for at least 30 minutes in a cool, shaded area.
  • 2. Clean filters and airflow path: Remove the dustbin, clean or replace filters, and clear any dust buildup around the fan intake and exhaust vents.
  • 3. Check environment: Avoid running the robot in rooms above 30–35°C (86–95°F) or in direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • 4. Internal dust removal (advanced): Open the robot and gently blow out dust from the fan housing and main board using compressed air (short bursts, from a distance).
  • 5. Test again: After cleaning and cooling, run a short cleaning cycle. If E13 recurs quickly, the fan motor or thermal sensor on the main board may be faulty and require replacement.

Warning: Do not block the robot's vents or operate it under blankets, curtains, or furniture skirts that restrict airflow.
