Possible Causes
Wi-Fi module firmware glitch, Loose Wi-Fi module connector, Strong RF interference, Defective Wi-Fi board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the robot is on the dock with sufficient battery.
- 1. Reboot robot: Turn the main power switch OFF, wait 30 seconds, then turn it ON.
- 2. Reset network: Use the Wi-Fi reset procedure (usually press and hold the Wi-Fi or power button until you hear a reset prompt) and re-add the robot in the Yeedi app.
- 3. Check router distance: Move the dock closer to your Wi-Fi router and avoid placing it near microwaves or thick concrete walls.
- 4. Firmware update: If the robot connects intermittently, use the app to check for and install firmware updates.
- 5. Internal inspection (advanced): Open the robot and locate the Wi-Fi module (often a small daughterboard or chip with antenna). Ensure its connector is secure and the antenna wire is intact.
- 6. Replace Wi-Fi module: If E15 persists and the robot cannot maintain a connection, replace the Wi-Fi module or main board, depending on design.
Warning: Do not modify or extend the internal Wi-Fi antenna; improper changes can violate regulations and damage the module.
