Possible Causes
Left or right drive wheel jammed with hair or string, Wheel well packed with debris, Wheel suspension stuck in raised or lowered position, Drive wheel motor overloaded
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock.
- 1. Inspect both drive wheels: Flip the robot over. Manually rotate each large side wheel. They should spin freely and move up and down in their suspension.
- 2. Remove wrapped debris: Look closely around the wheel axles and inside the wheel wells. Use tweezers to pull out hair, threads, or carpet fibers wrapped around the axles.
- 3. Clean wheel wells: Vacuum or brush out dust and grit from the wheel cavities. Check for small toys or hard objects wedged near the wheels.
- 4. Check suspension movement: Press each wheel up and down. It should move smoothly and spring back. If it sticks, gently work it up and down while cleaning the sides of the well.
- 5. Test on flat surface: Place the robot on a hard, flat floor, power it ON, and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether both wheels turn.
- 6. If error persists: A failing drive wheel motor or internal gearbox may be the cause. Replacing the affected wheel module is typically required.
Warning: Do not lubricate the wheel with oil or grease; this attracts dust and can damage internal components.
