Possible Causes

Dustbin not fully seated, Dustbin micro-switch or magnetic sensor dirty, Dustbin sensor switch damaged, Dustbin body warped or latch broken

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before handling the dustbin.

  • 1. Remove and reinsert dustbin: Pull out the dustbin completely, then slide it back in firmly until it clicks. Ensure the lid is fully closed.
  • 2. Clean dustbin contacts/sensors: On some Yeedi models, a small switch or magnetic sensor detects the bin. Wipe the area around the bin slot and any visible contacts with a dry cloth.
  • 3. Inspect dustbin body: Check for cracks, broken latches, or deformed plastic that might prevent full insertion. Replace the dustbin if damaged.
  • 4. Check for obstructions: Make sure no debris is lodged in the dustbin rails or behind the bin that could stop it from seating fully.
  • 5. Test with another bin (if available): If you have a spare or compatible bin, try it to see if the error clears.
  • 6. Internal switch check (advanced): Open the robot and locate the dustbin detection switch or Hall sensor. Verify the actuator moves freely and the connector is secure.

Warning: Do not bypass the dustbin sensor permanently; operating without a bin can damage the fan and spread dust inside the robot.
